Ozsoy School of Ballet

Placement & Fees

Students’ level of development, age, ability and progress will be assessed when class placement is determined. Students who have taken classes at Ozsoy School of Ballet previously and beginning students (Kinder, Elementary and Level I) do not need to audition. Placement in all divisions is by the director. Before students are permitted to begin Pointe class, they must qualify physically and technically, and must have studied ballet a minimum of three years or its equivalent. They must be at least 11 years of age and must be registered for at least three ballet classes per week at Ozsoy School of Ballet.

Students ages 4 and 5 will be in our Kinder pre-ballet and tap division. Students ages 6 and 7 will be in our Elementary pre-ballet and tap division. When a student reaches age 8, they will be ready for our Level I ballet and jazz division. The number of classes per week grows with the level the student attains. For example, Level I is required to take one ballet class per week, but may take more, Level II is required to take two ballet classes per week, etc., until Level VI in which students take up to six ballet classes per week or more.
